Wi-Systems development for defence applications
The AQULA range is designed for Command centre awareness and is capable of transmitting live video / voice along with telemetry up to 30km (line of sight) and is available as a vehicle mounted system or as a fully portable unit. Unlicensed Frequencies can be utilised and the range can be increased with the use of repeaters. The AQULA range was developed specifically to carry high quality images over great distances in any environment.
The VEGA range was initially developed to provide a secure turret solution by giving the commander images of the drivers DVE. This system has 17 separate channels in order to accommodate both video and voice applications for a number of vehicles simultaneously and has been tested successfully in several armoured vehicles.
Other applications include CCTV, Body / Helmet Cameras, Sniper Sights and Field Deployed Cameras, and all these can be fully encrypted if required. IndiComm has developed an ultra-light compact body camera system which is not only small enough to be deployed in webbing / helmet or anywhere required but is also a high quality day / night camera.
VEGA can be single or multi channel and can be integrated with the AQULA systems which can provide further onward transmission to command centres etc.
An earlier development of our mobile wireless transmission systems was showcased at OTN (Bisley 2009). Success there led to the development of our AQUILA and VEGA systems
Our fixed long range transmitters have been used in border surveillance, ANPR and other commercial applications. IndiComm has recently developed a bespoke system for a Middle Eastern client to provide live imagery from high speed cameras over a distance of 40km. This system will provide live images from the target area in order to help ordinance development. Using high speed cameras capable of speeds of 1,000,000 frames per second will provide accurate dispersement data which can be viewed in slow motion for assessment purposes.
